What once began as a hobby has developed into a rewarding business.
Who would have known when I began weaving 25 years ago that it would
become such a joy and constant source of learning since it was so different
from my vocation in chemical research. I taught beginning weaving while
living in Illinois and furthered my knowledge of fiber arts by attending
classes and workshops taught by Master Weavers. It wasn't until about 12
years ago that my hobby turned into a business. I currently have my
scarves, shawls, ponchos, and wraps for sale at leading art shows in the
Southeast. All of my weavings are done by myself on one of the three large
floor looms in my weaving loft.
